Who is the Director of Public Works in Howard County?

The Howard County Department of Public Works is led by Yosef Kebede, the Director. He is supported by Amah Binde, the Head of the Engineering Office, and the Office of Environment. Together, they coordinate daily functions, customer service, the capital improvement program, and real estate services. The current Director of Public Works is Mr.

Meunier. He is a professional engineer licensed in Maryland with more than 37 years of civil engineering experience in both the public and private sectors. Additionally, Mr. Ighile has more than 30 years of accounting experience in government, non-profit and for-profit organizations, including previous positions in the Howard County Public School System as Chief Financial Officer and in the Howard County Department of Finance as Assistant Director.

Mr. Meunier has been serving as Interim Director of Public Works since June and has nearly 40 years of experience as a civil engineer in the public and private sectors, the last six in Howard County.
